These terms govern use of the MotiveScan Chrome extension, website, and optional Pro service. By using MotiveScan, you agree to them.
The product
MotiveScan produces evidence-linked summaries and hypotheses from public webpage content supplied through your browser. Local and BYOK functions are provided by the open-source extension. Pro is an optional hosted analysis service tied to a license.
Analysis is not professional advice
Reports may be incomplete, stale, or wrong. A confidence score is not a guarantee. MotiveScan does not provide financial, legal, investment, tax, security, or purchasing advice. Verify prices, policies, product claims, and commercial conclusions at the original source before acting.
Acceptable use
You may analyze public pages you are lawfully permitted to access. You must not use MotiveScan to bypass authentication, technical restrictions, robots controls, rate limits, paywalls, or website terms; collect sensitive personal information; stalk or profile people; infringe rights; distribute malware; or overload a website or the MotiveScan service.
Your keys and license
You are responsible for BYOK credentials stored in your Chrome profile. Do not share a Pro license or device token beyond the activation allowance. We may suspend access for fraud, abuse, chargeback, refund, expired subscription, or material breach.
Plans and billing
Current plan price, billing period, allowance, renewal, seller, and applicable taxes are shown before checkout. Checkout may be provided by Waffo Pancake or another provider identified before purchase; when Waffo Pancake is shown as merchant of record, its buyer-facing payment, tax, receipt, refund, and dispute terms also apply to that transaction. The payment provider may provide a hosted subscription-management portal. Subscriptions renew until canceled through that portal. Canceling stops future renewal and does not normally erase access already paid through the current period. Refund eligibility is described in the refund policy.
Refund requests
You may request a refund within 14 calendar days of your first MotiveScan Pro purchase, subject to the usage and abuse conditions in the refund policy. Verified duplicate charges are refunded, and a verified outage or license failure that prevents meaningful paid use may qualify for a full or prorated refund, extension, or restored usage. Unused renewal charges reported within 48 hours are reviewed fairly. Email hello@any1tan.com from the account address with the order identifier and reason; never send a full card number. We aim to acknowledge requests within two business days. Approved refunds return through the original provider, whose settlement time may take five to ten business days. Mandatory consumer rights remain unaffected.
Open-source license
Source code marked under the MIT License is governed by that license. These service terms apply to the hosted website, billing, licenses, managed analysis, brand, and any code or assets not included in the public repository.
Availability and changes
We may change, limit, or discontinue features and plan allowances. Material paid-plan changes will be disclosed before they affect a future renewal where reasonably possible. We do not promise uninterrupted or error-free operation.
Warranty and liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, MotiveScan is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties. Reports and AI-assisted output may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, infringing, or unsuitable and must be independently verified before you rely on them. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, reputational, lost-profit, or lost-data damages. Our aggregate liability for a paid claim is limited to the amount you paid for MotiveScan during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow every exclusion, so mandatory rights and liabilities remain unaffected.
Breach, suspension, and termination
You are responsible for your inputs, analysis targets, use of reports, and losses or third-party claims caused by unlawful or unauthorized use. We may warn, limit analysis, suspend service, revoke a license or device token, or terminate an account for a material or repeated breach, fraud, chargeback abuse, security risk, non-payment, infringement, prohibited access, or a legal requirement. We may act immediately where needed to protect users, the service, or a third party. Refunds after enforcement follow the refund policy and mandatory law; consumed service is not refunded solely because access was terminated for breach. You may cancel a subscription through the provider portal and request account closure at hello@any1tan.com. If we terminate prepaid service for reasons unrelated to your breach, we will refund the unused prepaid portion where applicable.
