MotiveScan analyzes website content only when you click Analyze website. It does not collect or sell browsing history.
What the extension reads
For the current tab, MotiveScan may read visible text, title, description, headings, links, public price strings, script source URLs, public structured data, and basic form metadata. If pricing scanning is enabled, it may request up to four public pages on the same site whose link or path suggests pricing or plans. Those requests omit cookies and authentication credentials.
MotiveScan does not intentionally read passwords, typed form values, private messages, payment card data, or authentication cookies.
Processing modes
Local
Analysis runs inside the extension. Extracted page content is not sent to MotiveScan or an AI provider.
Bring your own key
After you select BYOK, accept its transmission disclosure, and grant access to a provider API domain, extracted page and public pricing content is sent directly to the provider you selected. Your provider key is stored in Chrome local extension storage and is not sent to MotiveScan. The provider processes that data under its own terms.
MotiveScan Pro
After you select Pro, accept its transmission disclosure, and activate a license, extracted page and public pricing content is sent to motivescan.any1tan.com. The service passes the minimum required prompt content to its contracted model provider. We may retain license status, an opaque device token, usage counts, request timestamps, and operational errors to provide and protect the service.
Local storage
Depending on your choices, Chrome local extension storage may contain your consent record, settings, up to 30 reports, a BYOK provider key, and an opaque Pro token. Clear history from the side panel. Removing the extension deletes its local Chrome storage.
Payments
Checkout identifies the payment provider and, where applicable, the legal seller or merchant of record. Checkout may be provided by Waffo Pancake or another provider identified before purchase. When Waffo Pancake is shown as merchant of record, it handles buyer information needed for payment, tax, receipts, refunds, fraud prevention, and disputes under its own privacy terms. MotiveScan receives only the account link, provider, order or transaction identifier, product or plan, amount, currency, timestamps, verified payment status, refund or chargeback status, and subscription or entitlement lifecycle needed to grant and reconcile access. It does not receive or store a full card number or card security code.
Sharing, sale, and use limits
We do not sell personal data, page content, or browsing activity. Data is shared only with the selected BYOK provider or, in Pro mode, infrastructure, payment, and model providers required to return the service. Website content is not used for advertising, credit, insurance, or employment decisions.
Retention and security
Local reports remain until you clear them or remove the extension. Pro request content is not intended for long-term storage; short-lived operational logs may be retained for abuse prevention and debugging. Account, entitlement, support, security, and signed payment-event records are retained only as needed to provide the service, prevent abuse, meet tax, accounting, and legal obligations, and resolve refunds or disputes; they are then deleted, anonymized, or archived where law requires continued retention. Failed signed events remain in a protected retry inbox until processed or manually reconciled. We use HTTPS, narrow Chrome permissions, no remote executable extension code, encrypted license material, and server-only payment/model keys. No system can guarantee absolute security.
Your rights and children
Where applicable law provides these rights, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or an objection. Some transaction and security records may need to remain after account closure for legal, fraud-prevention, accounting, or dispute purposes. Paid and account features are not intended for children under 13.
